Getting to Know Our Coffees: Colombian Excelso Decaf ☕
Let’s talk about decaf for a second.
This is a single origin Colombian coffee that @gradientcoffee roasts to a medium 2.5/5 darkness. But here’s what makes it different: it’s Swiss Water Processed right here in Vancouver. That means the caffeine is removed using only water and carbon filters – no chemicals, and more importantly, the flavour stays intact. Bright citrus, smooth chocolate, and none of that flat, cardboard taste you might associate with decaf.
Where it shines: Afternoon coffee without the jitters. Evening cup without the sleepless night. It’s versatile enough for any brew method – drip, pour-over, French press – and honestly, most people can’t tell it’s decaf until you mention it.
Available as: 12oz bags in the cafe, or skip the packaging and refill your own jar. Need it for the office or staff-room? We can do that too.

Getting to Know Our Coffees: OG Espresso ☕
Our best-selling espresso, and the backbone of every latte and cappuccino we pull at the cafes.
OG Espresso is a single origin Brazilian coffee from the Serrado farm in Carmo de Minos that @gradientcoffee roasts to a medium 3/5 darkness. Brazilian beans are known for their sweet, full-bodied profile, and at this roast level, you get all the richness without losing the clarity. Caramel sweetness, toasted hazelnut, and chocolate – espresso that works whether you’re drinking it straight or in milk.
Where it shines: Obviously, it’s dialed in for espresso. But it’s versatile enough to hold its own in a drip machine, Aeropress, or French press. Medium roast means it’s forgiving, balanced, and approachable – the coffee equivalent of a crowd-pleaser.
